Love getting lost in literature? Or maybe you enjoy figuring out what those puzzling lines really mean? Annotating Literature is starting up again, and we’d love to have you on board! In our student workgroups: we read, discuss and write our own explanatory annotations to help others make sense of challenging or confusing passages. Think of it as building our own scholarly mini-Arden Shakespeare or Oxford World’s Classics, one note at a time.
This semester, you can join one (or both!) of our groups: Annotating Poetry and Charles Dickens’ The Chimes. By working collaboratively, you’ll sharpen your research and writing skills while deepening your understanding of the annotated material.
The best part? Your finished annotations will be published on our website: http://www.annotating-literature.org/annotations/
Whether you’re after credits or just curious to try something new, you’re very welcome to join. Our weekly sessions start on November 7 (Dickens) and November 11 (Poetry).
Got any questions? Send us an email at annotating-literature@es.uni-tuebingen.de or check out https://www.annotating-literature.org/.
