After some weeks of renovation, it finally is done! The relaunch is here! There are lots of changes, but I specifically want to point some of the most important. Firstly, for all of the participants in our project: the project’s workspace is no more part of the main site. An extra work forum has been created and all of you should by now have received their new user data via email. If any of you still miss their logins, please sent an email to admin[a.t]annotating-literature.org.

The second major innovation is the new text viewer that has specifically been coded for our needs. It displays several levels of annotation in the same window, while still showing the annotated passage in the main text (which is much harder to accomplish than it sounds). Many thanks to Pekka Gaiser who did the coding for this feat. The viewer is already connected to The Prince and the Pauper, but the other groups will follow within the next days. Also some of the content will still be added to, but we are almost finished.

News from real life: we happily welcome our new peer group annotating Charles Dickens’ “The Chimes”. It started in December 2012, which also was the month of our first solely student-organized group. The annotators of The Prince and the Pauper became independent as a first result in our “sustainable peer groups” concept. We look forward to more annotations 😉 .

PS: And one more huge thanks goes to Alexandra Gregor (www.gregor-illustration.de) for her help in finishing up the design of annotating-literature.org!
